I was stunned when I saw the memorial notice in the Arts section of yesterday's Times. Robert Parker is dead? When did that happen? I found the obituary in theWednesday paper. Although he was 77, his agent said that he was thought to be in splendid health. At least his fans will not have to go cold turkey.
