GENEALOGY RESOURCES AT MAPL

The library has a rich local history and genealogy collection. Our holdings include newspaper clippings, books, pamphlets, postcards and maps. The reference staff will be happy to guide you to resources so you can do your own research. Genealogists and former Matawan Aberdeen residents can view the digitized Matawan Journal at this link http://www.idi-matawan.org. We have a copy of the useful Matawan Journal Index done by Douglas Alt in 1997. Here you can look up a name and find a record of births, deaths and marriages as they appeared in the paper.
